Bodegas targeted for 'Nutcracker' sales

Bodegas across New York City are being warned not to sell so-called "Nutcracker" alcohol beverages to underage drinkers.

The drinks, usually a fruit or sugary juice mixed with vodka, rum or tequila, are the focus of a crackdown by Governor David Paterson aimed to prevent kids from having easy access to liquor.

The governor's office released the following statement regarding the Nutcracker sales: "Governor Paterson has directed Chairman Rosen [of the state Liquor Authority] to swiftly and decisively deal with any retailer found to be illegally selling alcohol to minors. These reports are certainly alarming, and the governor takes them very seriously."

Other public figures have stepped up to denounce the sales of the drink, including new Public Advocate Bill de Blasio and the Reverend Al Sharpton.

"If the authorities don't stop it, I may organize parent squads to go in and protest the stores," Sharpton told the New York Daily News.

The coalition "Last Store on Main Street" on Monday praised efforts to crack down on underage drinking by eliminating the illegal sales of the Nutcrackers.

The group also warned the effectiveness of the effort would be severely limited if Governor Paterson moves forward with his plan to legalize wine sales in every deli, corner store, gas station, bodega and grocery store in New York state.

"The governor deserves credit for cracking down on bodegas selling illegal alcohol to teens, but he should also recognize that legalizing the sale of wine in bodegas is completely inconsistent with those efforts," said Michael Correra, a coalition leader and executive director of the Metropolitan Package Store Association.

All day long I have been trying to get the facts right on this disturbing story before I posted it. So hear it is.

It has been confirmed that Marcus Romone Cooper aka Pleasure P was "allegedly" involved in a child molestation case which is supposedly the real reason why he's no longer in the group Pretty Ricky. Sources say he was force out due to the charges.

According to Word On The Street Magazine, the former lead singer was indeed involved in a child molestation case in Florida & the assistant/daughter of the lawyer who represented him in the case is telling it all! Not only did he 'allegedly" molest 1 child but according to reports it was several kids. But wait! It was a boy he molested! Pop the hood for the scoop.

Here's what the daughter of the lawyer had to say:
My dad was being paid to cover it up but they owe my dad a lot of money and don't want to pay him. I first overheard my dad say that it was someone famous but I found out who he was talking about.

This guy Pleasure P got kicked out of a group bc he was hiding that he was a child molester. his managers or whatever hired my dad to keep it quiet so he could get a record deal

The guy Pleasure P molested a 4 yr old child and was about to molest another one when police came and saved the child. Now, the truth is out they're threatening my family nd telling my dad he's going to get sued. But they can't because its a crime.
To top that off, she even tried to contact others members of Pretty Ricky but what told this by the groups management.
"Unfortunately due to Pleasure P's lawyer filing an injunction against us from speaking, we are not at liberty to speak about the case." How ever we will let it be known that we did kick him out of the group, he did not leave on is own free will. We did a deal with Atlantic via Craig Calman that we would let him out of the group if they bought out his contract with us and Blue Star which is the official label of Pretty Ricki. We are not at liberty to discuss why we kicked him out of the group Pretty Ricki.
However, Spectacular did say this on Twitter.

Wait there's even more! According to The CEO Of Blue Star, he was there in the court room when it all went down. WOW! If that's still not enough proof, maybe these newly released court documents will seal the deal.

After seeing the documents it turns out the child he "allegedly" molested was his own nephew! I have no words, I guess we will just have to wait on Pleasure P to drop an official statement. This is quite unfortunate!

Had Clipse made a concerted attempt to outstrip Hell Hath No Fury, Til the Casket Drops would have likely come out sounding like self-parody. The Thorntons' previous set was so cold, lean, and efficient, the product of the circumstances under which it was made, that it is impossible to imagine an album of identical makeup trumping it. So, for the most part, Pusha T and Malice approached their third album -- their first for Columbia -- as a reflection of where they were at when they recorded it. And while nine of its 13 tracks were produced by the Neptunes, who were operating at the top of their game throughout Hell Hath No Fury, the beats here are busier, fuller-sounding, and they mingle well with the productions that come from DJ Khalil and Sean C & LV.

In order to be heard over these relatively large-scale productions, the Thorntons often break from the distanced ferocity for which they've been known and sound more human without dulling their blades. There's plenty of dazzling wordplay related to coke dealing and showing off, but the album carries a more redemptive tone and a higher level of self-awareness, put on display from the beginning of the opening "Freedom": "My pen's been the poison to family and friendships/Now is the time to mend shit, time to bring closure to/The clear conscience of Pusha is long overdue."

Further evidence that they've turned a corner comes on "Champion": "I thought that life was a bad bitch, bad car/Life is with your kids, watching Madagascar."

That they're able open up without coming off the least bit soft makes the album, in its own way, as much of a triumph as Hell Hath No Fury.

I definitely recommend this album, Clipse are Back!

Melody Thorton from the Pussycat Dolls is a little heated over Ciara's photoshoot for French luxury magazine L'Officiel accusing Ciara of jocking her. She twitpiced this side by side comparison with the caption "Omg! Omg omg! I was first ppl! I'm def not the "swagger jacker" in the one! I love her but damn that's exact". They both are assuming the B.Scott "Bitch hold my ponytail" stance and wearing extremely similar outfits, but I doubt Ciara purposely sought after Melody Thorton to copy. Maybe Melody's a little mad Ciara's photo came out undeniably hotter and her's is looking a little amateurish? (for that reason alone maybe the side by side comparison wasn't such a great idea). Pure coincidence or is Ciara a copy cat?
